A newly commissioned live event from the composer Matilda Brown.

Matilda Brown’s score, which uses traditional and contemporary styles to celebrate Scotland’s landscape and bothy culture, is accompanied by a video of images from the walks she took in the more remote parts of Scotland as research for this new work. Seven pieces of music, songs and video reflect seven stages of the walk.

The musicians are:

Matilda Brown - piano, guitar, voice, computer
Robert McFall - violin (from Mr McFall's Chamber and the Scottish Chamber Orchestra)
Brian Schiele - viola (from Mr McFall's Chamber and the Scottish Chamber Orchestra)
Graeme Stephen - jazz guitar (Scotland's lead young jazz guitarist)
Peppe Santamaria - percussion

The video artist is Kati Niemela from Glasseye Films
